HelpSmith provides you with an easy way to create documentation from start to finish and also lets you import help topics from HTML, Word RTF, TXT files that can be written in different Unicode or ANSI charsets.

You can use HelpSmith to provide help files for your software in many output formats such as context-sensitive HTML Help files, a standard format for application's online Help in Windows. HelpSmith supports all the features of HTML Help CHM format, so you can build the tree-type Table of Contents (TOC), Index, add and customize chm viewer's help windows, etc..

For developers who may have existing help projects, HelpSmith offers the Import ability, so you can import your existing help projects stored in HTML Help Workshop (HHP files) or directly from compiled html help CHM files.

The WYSIWYG principle makes working with HelpSmith as easy as working with regular office application. And, actually, you do not have to learn any technical details to start writing professional CHM files and other documentation with the HelpSmith authoring tool.
